If you are anything like me you can relate when I say “fried bologna and Ramen noodles” had been on my menu for the better part of my life, and not because they were my favorite foods. I’m not writing this book to tell you how to become rich, because I’m not ordering caviar off the menu any time soon. I’m just sharing with you my story and the tools I have implemented to give me what I perceive as wealth. Everyone is ready to take your money and to give you advice on how to invest it. What if you have no money to give? This is why I suggest hoarding pennies. You’ve got to start somewhere. Pennies are easy to find, and one hundred of them equal one dollar. We are always looking for the big perfect picture, but what about the small, not so perfect one? The currency that is always getting overlooked is the penny. I know we all prefer the quarter, but that’s why pennies are so easy to find, because no one is looking for them. Someone is always throwing them out, or dropping them and never bothering to reach down to pick them up because it’s just a penny.

Great book from an author who clearly knows what it means to work for what you have. Great book on over coming difficult situations and getting over the entitlement mindset. The only thing I disliked about the book was some of the language, however I felt the author was using it to set the stage for parts of the book.Product details

Its a great book for 12+ it is very relatable for everyone or just most women but its 5 star!
Don't waste your money or time! There are far better financial advice and personal financial books out there that are more informative and interesting. This is more like a booklet, a poorly written and uninteresting booklet.

Awesome short story of how the author has struggled through the bad time and never gave up. A must read for everyone.
This story telling guide is the smartest book I have read about finance in a long time. Helen’s straight to the point guide is not only helpful but also sensible, and sometime funny. She used examples, and forms to help you along the way.
No matter what your finances are currently this book will help you to the next step.

I've long been a personal finance junkie so while this quick read didn't introduce any new concepts I still felt inspired by the author's story and perspective. It may be most meaningful for readers just starting to get above water financially, it gives a great reminder for all of us of the challenges many others face. I salute the author for her attitude and for writing this book to help others make the same strides she has.
